The following instructions are to be followed while appearing for University Examinations under APJAKTU, Thiruvananthapuram.
General Instructions
Prepare well in advance for the examination based on the syllabus, suggested important module wise topics, previous question papers, etc.
Keep a copy of examination time table issued by the university for getting informed about the time and date of examination.
For 2024 Scheme, total time duration is 3 Hours and maximum marks is 60.
Afternoon examination will start from 1:30 pm and end at 4:30 pm on all days, except Friday. On Friday, afternoon examination will start at 2:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm.
Exam Cell will distribute the Hall Tickets to all students for appearing for examination, issued by the university through the Faculty Advisors. Keep the hall ticket safely without it getting torn, wet or soiled. If hall ticket is misplaced, student need to apply for getting new hall ticket by remitting an amount of Rs. 100/- to the College Office.
The Hall Ticket must be brought for all examinations and the invigilator will sign against the respective examination conducted on a day. If a student has forgotten to bring the Hall Ticket, he/she has to write a letter to exam cell, endorsed by the HoD/Faculty Advisor, seeking permission to write the examination on that day alone. The provisional permission letter must be handed over to the invigilator while entering into the exam room and should not be in the possession of the student after receiving the answer booklets. However, provisional permission letter will be granted only once during an examination season.
College ID card is to be brought on all exam days. If forgotten, student has to write a letter to exam cell, endorsed by the HoD/Faculty Advisor, seeking permission to write the examination on that day alone. The provisional permission letter must be handed over to the invigilator while entering into the exam room and should not be in the possession of the student after receiving the answer booklets.
Student must be in full uniform on all exam days.
Student should have sufficient quantity of pen, pencil, eraser, sharpener, instrument box with drawing tools, etc. Borrowing of these items from other students inside the exam room will not be permitted. Ensure that nothing is written on the body/part of these items which will lead to malpractice appeal against the student.
Student can possess scientific calculator. Borrowing of calculator from other students inside the exam room will not be permitted. Ensure that nothing is written on the cover/part of the calculator which will lead to malpractice appeal against the student. (Especially when borrowing calculator from friends/other students before the exam during emergency). In certain examinations, university may notify the non-usage policy of calculator, which will be intimated by the Exam Cell well in advance.
Students should not possess any kind of electronic gadgets (smart watch, mobile phones, headphones, ear buds, smart spectacles, etc.) other than a calculator. Possession of these items will lead to malpractice appeal against the student.
Water bottles are permitted inside the exam room. However, the bottle must be transparent and any kind of stickers/papers should be removed from the water bottle.
The prescribed data books, tables, etc. are permitted. However, these materials must be endorsed by the respective department with seal or sign from competent authority.
