The Nexus of Knowledge, Leadership, and Impact

As part of the MBA Foundation Program at Christ College of Engineering, an enlightening series of sessions was conducted by distinguished experts: Mr. Sudheer Menon (Corporate Trainer), Ms. Meena Baiju (Professional Coach), and Ms. Rakhi Vijayan. These sessions, aimed at preparing the students for their management journey, provided valuable insights into personal and professional growth.

Mr. Sudheer Menon shared his expertise on corporate readiness, focusing on essential skills like effective communication, problem-solving, and workplace adaptability. His interactive methods and real-world examples resonated deeply with the students.

Ms. Meena Baiju’s session emphasized self-awareness and personal development. She introduced practical tools and techniques to enhance leadership potential, emotional intelligence, and decision-making skills, leaving the students inspired to develop a growth mindset.

Ms. Rakhi Vijayan’s engaging talk highlighted the importance of confidence-building and teamwork. She shared actionable strategies to overcome challenges and motivated the students to work collaboratively toward achieving their goals.
 

Mr. Rahul delivered an insightful presentation on addressing contemporary business challenges and developing key professional skills. Through an interactive approach that included case studies, discussions, and practical exercises, he highlighted the significance of critical thinking, effective communication, and adaptability in today’s business landscape.

As a tribute to Mr. Ratan Tata, students presented and celebrated his remarkable contributions to the world of business. The session reflected on his transformative impact, particularly in making the Tata Group a global powerhouse and fostering values of integrity and sustainability in business practices.

Mr. Dipu Thomas Joy’s session on “ Industry Academia Collaboration: Bridging the Skills Gap” was a thought-provoking and engaging experience for the students. As an accomplished professional, he shared his journey, offering deep insights into the challenges and opportunities in the corporate world. His discussion emphasized the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and strong ethical foundations in building a successful career. 

Mr. Sunny shared his journey of building Sunny Diamonds into a leading brand, highlighting the challenges and triumphs he encountered along the way. He emphasized the importance of resilience, innovation, and customer-centric strategies in achieving business success. His insights on entrepreneurship and the evolving market trends resonated deeply with the students.

The session also included a lively Q&A segment, where students posed thoughtful questions about entrepreneurship, branding, and leadership.

Christ Institute of Business Administration successfully conducted a two-day workshop on “How to Write an Article/Research Paper,” facilitated by Dr. Sajithamony T M, Head of the Department of Data Analytics and Mathematical Sciences, Jain (Deemed-to-be) University. The workshop provided participants with valuable insights into academic writing, research structuring, and data analysis using SPSS. Day one focused on the fundamentals of research writing, including literature review, methodology, and referencing, while day two offered hands-on training in statistical analysis and data interpretation. The workshop was well-received, equipping attendees with practical skills and renewed confidence to pursue academic publishing.

As part of the ongoing commitment to enhancing digital expertise among our MBA students, a specialized training program on Power BI is scheduled to be held at NeST Digital Campus, Kalamassery, from 24th March to 28th March 2025.

This training initiative aligns with the Upskilling Using Power BI session conducted earlier at CHRIST Institute of Business Administration on 18th March 2025, where Dr. Pradeep S, Assistant Vice President of NeST Digital, addressed students on the importance of data visualization and business intelligence tools in the modern corporate landscape. The session was well-received and served as a precursor to the hands-on training that will follow.

The Christ Institute of Business Administration (CIBA), Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, organized the CIBA Entrepreneurship Summit 2K25 on 25th April 2025. Themed “Dream, Dare, Disrupt,” the summit brought together visionary entrepreneurs from diverse industries to inspire and engage with budding business leaders. The event was fully coordinated and executed by the MBA students of CIBA as part of their academic enrichment and leadership development.

Distinguished speakers at the summit included Paul Francis (Director, KLF Nirmal Industries), John Kuriakose (Founder & M.D., Dentcare Ltd), Biju Joseph (Founder and Owner, Navya Bakers), Linda Rakesh (Director, RCM Wellness Centre & CKKM Pharmacy), Riyas V A (Chairman & M.D., Atlas Maharani Group), and Annie Vinod Manjila (Associate Director, Manjilas Food Tech – Double Horse). Each speaker shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship, innovation, and overcoming industry challenges.

The summit provided a powerful platform for interaction, idea exchange, and real-world learning, encouraging students to think boldly and pursue entrepreneurial ventures with confidence and creativity.

As part of the Global Exposure Programme for MBA students at Christ Institute of Business Administration, a six-day educational and cultural trip to Dubai was organized from 10th to 15th March. The group stayed at Vision Imperial Hotel (4-star) with all meals included. The trip began with a warm welcome and an evening Creek Dhow Cruise, providing a glimpse of Dubai’s rich heritage and hospitality. On the second day, students participated in an industrial visit, offering insights into international business practices and operations. The third day featured a comprehensive Dubai city tour followed by visits to Dubai Mall, where students observed global retail trends and consumer behavior. On the fourth day, students explored Miracle Garden and Global Village, gaining exposure to Dubai's tourism and entertainment sectors. The fifth day combined leisure and adventure with a half-day shopping trip and the thrilling Desert Safari, complete with a BBQ dinner and cultural performances at the safari camp. The final day included a full-day tour of Abu Dhabi, showcasing the UAE’s capital city and its unique socio-economic landscape before departure. Overall, the programme successfully blended academic enrichment, industry exposure, and cultural immersion, broadening the students’ global business perspectives and enhancing their managerial competencies.

The ISTD (Indian Society for Training and Development) inauguration at Christ Institute of Business Administration was a landmark event, emphasizing the importance of skill development and professional excellence. With ISTD’s support, CIBA aspires to empower students with cutting-edge training, enhancing their capabilities to meet the demands of a competitive business environment.

On October 30, 2024, Christ Institute of Business Administration marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the ISTD Student Chapter on campus. With all students enrolled as members of the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), the chapter aims to enhance learning and professional development in the field of training and human resource development.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Dines Thambi, Chairman ISTD and Vice President , TCS, Prof. A S Girish, XIME, Shri. Anand Kumar, Founder CEO, Finprov Learning , Kochi and Smt. Indira Namboodiripad

Two faculty members, Ms. Elva Selson and Ms. Midhu Elizabeth, will serve as faculty coordinators, guiding and supporting the student chapter.

The inauguration marked the beginning of a collaborative platform where students can engage in industry-driven training programs, workshops, and networking opportunities with experts in the field.

The Induction Program for S1 MBA students of Christ Institute of Business Administration was successfully conducted on 31st July 2025 at the MBA Seminar Hall, 2nd Floor, Chavara Block. The program was organized with the objective of welcoming the new batch of MBA students and familiarizing them with the institution’s culture, values, and academic environment.
The event commenced at 9:00 AM and continued till 4:30 PM, providing an engaging platform for students to interact, learn, and gain insights into the MBA journey ahead.
A key highlight of the program was the interactive session led by the Resource Person, Ms. Indu Jayaram, Director of Careerfit 360 Pvt. Ltd. Ms. Jayaram shared her expertise and valuable perspectives on career readiness, professional development, and the importance of adapting to the dynamic business environment. Her session inspired students to focus on skill-building, networking, and personal growth as integral aspects of their MBA program.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who benefitted from the orientation activities designed to instill confidence and motivation. The induction also provided an overview of academic expectations, institutional guidelines, and opportunities available for students during their MBA journey.
The day-long induction concluded on a positive note, with students expressing eagerness to embark on their MBA path at Christ Institute of Business Administration with renewed energy and commitment.

The Induction Program for S1 MBA students of Christ Institute of Business Administration continued on 1st August 2025 at the MBA Seminar Hall, 2nd Floor, Chavara Block. The program aimed to equip the new MBA batch with essential communication and leadership skills while introducing them to the values of effective collaboration and creativity.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Sujatha Santhanam, a Communication Facilitator, ICF-Certified Leadership Coach, and Partner & Creative Head at InkSpeak Creative.

Ms. Santhanam conducted highly engaging sessions focusing on communication excellence, leadership practices, and the role of creativity in professional growth. She emphasized the significance of clarity, empathy, and confidence in leadership, alongside the importance of fostering innovative thinking in organizational contexts.

Through interactive activities and practical insights, Ms. Santhanam inspired the students to reflect on their personal strengths and areas for improvement, while encouraging them to cultivate a growth-oriented mindset throughout their MBA journey.

The program concluded with positive feedback from the students, who found the session to be both motivating and enriching. It enabled them to gain valuable perspectives on leadership communication, preparing them to take on future challenges with confidence and creativity.

The session was facilitated by the esteemed Resource Person, Ms. Raakhee Vijay Nair, an ICF Certified Executive Coach, Leadership Facilitator, Design Thinking Evangelist, Outbound Team Building Expert, and Industrial Psychologist.

Ms.Raakhee Vijay Nair conducted highly interactive sessions focusing on leadership development, design thinking, and effective team-building strategies. Through engaging activities and discussions, she highlighted the importance of critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation in shaping future business leaders.

The program provided students with a platform to understand the role of self-awareness, adaptability, and creativity in their MBA journey. It also encouraged them to step beyond their comfort zones, preparing them for both academic and professional challenges.

The induction concluded with students expressing their appreciation for the insightful session, which not only boosted their confidence but also instilled a sense of motivation to embrace their MBA experience with enthusiasm and commitment.

Christ College of Engineering organized Deeksharambh 2025 – the Initiation Ceremony on August 23, 2025, at Christ Vidyaniketan School, Irinjalakuda, to formally welcome the newly admitted students. The event was graced by distinguished personality Dr. Prof. K. K. Geethakumary who served as the Chief Guest. She helped in delivering inspiring insights to motivate the freshers at the threshold of their academic journey. Rev. Fr. John Paliakara CMI , Executive Director, presided over the ceremony, emphasizing the institution’s values and vision. An orientation session was conducted by Rev. Fr. Akkara Raju, guiding the students towards a purposeful and holistic educational experience.

Christ College of Engineering warmly hosted Pre-Freshers Day on August 19, creating a vibrant platform to welcome the newly admitted students of the institution. The event blended fun, interaction, and cultural performances, offering a lively introduction to campus life. Senior students showcased their talents through music, dance, and games, helping the freshers feel at ease and fostering camaraderie. The celebration not only entertained but also set the tone for an exciting academic journey ahead, filled with opportunities and friendships.

The Christ Institute of Business Administration (CIBA) organized an Industry Insights for Future Leaders session for MBA freshers on August 22 2025, at the Conference Hall, St. Mary’s Block. The resource person, Ms. Vidya pillai, delivered an engaging session highlighting career opportunities in diverse sectors including FMCG, Healthcare, Media, and Infrastructure. The session provided students with valuable exposure to industry trends and future prospects, equipping them with insights to align their learning with evolving corporate demands.

On August 26 2025, the MBA seniors of CIBA hosted Fresh Connect 2025, an engaging Ice-Breaking Session for the newly admitted juniors. The programme was thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere that encouraged interaction between seniors and juniors. Through a series of fun-filled activities, team-building games, and interactive tasks, the event helped students ease into campus life while fostering a spirit of collaboration and camaraderie. The session not only facilitated networking but also laid the foundation for meaningful connections, ensuring that the juniors felt at home as they began their academic journey at CIB

The MBA Department organized an Industry Insights Session on 10 September 2025, featuring Mr. Joel J. Manjaly, Lead BPHR at Infosys Ltd. He shared his professional journey and provided students with practical insights into modern HR roles, essential skills, and career growth.

The session helped MBA students understand HR’s strategic impact on culture and engagement while offering useful guidance on communication, adaptability, and problem-solving. An interactive Q&A enriched learning, and students appreciated the session for its relevance and inspiration.

With immense pleasure, we take this privilege to share that our MBA students successfully coordinated the Kaniysium Badminton Tournament held today at Christ Vidyaniketan School, Irinjalakuda. The event, organized under the leadership of the Thrissur CMI Devamatha Province in remembrance of the Servant of God Fr. Kaniyousachan, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 110 priests, offering our students a remarkable exposure and enriching experience.

CIBA conducted Corporate Readiness Day 2025 on 20 September 2025, offering final-year MBA students a full-day simulation of real placement processes. Students participated in aptitude tests, group discussions, and personal interviews conducted by faculty and placement cell experts.

The event provided hands-on experience, boosted confidence, and helped students identify strengths and improvement areas. The realistic recruitment environment and personalised feedback were highly appreciated, making the event a valuable step in preparing students for upcoming corporate placements.
